Just recently, Eidos decided to let us in on a small teaser trailer for their upcoming game, Batman: Arkham Asylum (See bottom of article for video). The trailer itself only seems to cover some level design and not much else, but it is a teaser after all. By looking at the screenshots that have been released, the graphics will be very nice. An awesome art style that complements the Batman world very nicely. Some good news is that Arkham Asylum is not being based on any movie, but rather its own storyline. It will have room to do its own thing without being constrained by an already set story.

Although the ship date is still a bit unclear, most places state that the release is set for “TBA 2009″. However, when I checked a few more sites, it seems that retailers offering a pre-order are stating Arkham Asylum will ship on June 1st 2009. Keep in mind that this date is bound to change at least once before final release. There is currently not much known about the game, but only Eidos’ statement:
