Failure in the House

The bill to extend the digital transition date has failed to pass in the House of Representatives. This is very shocking news as the bill was very well expected to go through. The vote was 258 to 168 in favor of changing the date, but the House needed two-thirds of the votes under “special rules adopted for the vote.”
So it seems that Feb. 17 is still on for the digital change and those 6.5 million Americans will be out of luck unless they take action. It’s better that this happens sooner than later because changing the date this late in the game would cause straight-up havoc.
