Intel: E8700 In the Making

For all the dual core fans out there, you have something to get excited about here in the near future. Intel will be preparing their 3.5GHz Core 2 Duo E8700. It will be the highest clocked Core 2 Duo yet over the 3.33GHz E8600. The 45nm E8700 will run on a 1333MHz FSB and come with 6MB of L2 cache. It’s also expected to have a TDP of 65W.
On the more depressing side, there is no word yet on a release date or the expected price, but keep in mind that other Core 2 Duos could drop in price when the E8700 is released.
Sounds good! Probably will be a 2010 release I reckon
