DIY: Automatic Camera Part Two

Last weekend I demonstrated a quick and dirty way of making your camera take a picture every couple of seconds/minutes. Unfortunately, The cheapness of the camera I used corrupted my SD card and lost all the pictures I had taken for the project. This week, I’m back with a new SD card in hand and a guide of taking all those (in my case, 400) pictures and making it into a short movie.
The video tool I used is simply Windows Movie Maker (WMM) with a couple of settings changed. First, open up WMM. You should be presented with the standard view, with “movie tasks” on the left, your movie on the right, a time line at the bottom, and a blank section in the middle. At the top, click Tools > Options > Advanced, and set the picture duration to 0.125 seconds (the lowest possible), then hit OK.
Next, I simply clicked and dragged all 400 pictures down into the timeline. You can choose to export your movie now or add some intros, credits, transitions, music, and etc. You’re done!
