Rockstar Announces Next Step For GTA

Just yesterday, I posted telling you guys about a large number of jobs that had either opened up or had been created and needed to be filled at Rockstar North, the studio most known for the GTA series. Well, it seems that we now know what they where staffing up for. Rockstar just announced their next piece of DLC for GTA IV, The Ballad Of Gay Tony. They are also compiling a pack that will include the game and the two pieces of DLC. Read a piece from the press release after the break.

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City delivers two games on one disc – the all-new episode The Ballad of Gay Tony and the first episode, The Lost and Damned – together on disc for the first time – for Xbox 360 for $39.99 and will not require a copy of the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play.

The Ballad of Gay Tony will release on Xbox LIVE this fall for $19.99 or 1600 MS points and requires players to have Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE membership to download.

While most people would assume that this explains the new hires, I’m unconvinced. Perhaps it’s wishful thinking, but is it possible that Rockstar is finally porting the DLC to other platforms? Has the time of exclusivity ended for the GTA DLC? Time will tell.
