Left 4 Dead 2 Meets More Opposition

l4ds

Remember a few days ago, on June 3rd when we told you about the Steam group that is comprised of members that are opposed to L4D2? Well, when I wrote that article, the group had just over 2,300 members. Well, today (June 7th), at time of writing, the group’s numbers have surged.  Over the course of 4 days, the group gained 10,000 (and some change) members. The Steam group now has 12,819 members. I think Valve is going to have some issues on their hands when they try to release Left 4 Dead 2. (Set for release November 17th)

I’d just like to add that in the few hours since this post went live, the group gained about 1000 more members.

I bet most of those people on that group will still buy the game anyways..I don’t see Valve budging, the only thing they might do to please these good folks is to rename the thing. Instead of the ’2′ in the end, they’d call it Left 4 Dead: Episode 1.

They way they have gone about this is just all wrong, they SHOULD, in my opinion, have just released it as an expansion! I don’t see the need in releasing the same game with new models, maps, weapons and sounds all running on the same engine as a whole new package, money hole imo.
