Google Announces Chrome OS

Yeah, we could’ve seen this one coming from a mile away, even with all the rumors flying around the past few months. Google has officially announced their open-source Chrome OS. They say they are working with several OEM manufacturers and hope to get their new OS to appear on some netbooks sometime in the second half of next year.
