One of the world’s largest entertainment companies is about to get even larger as they purchase Marvel Entertainment, Inc. Last week, it was announced that the Walt Disney Company would be buying the illustrious comic book dynasty for a staggering $4 billion. Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, the X-Men and thousands of other prominent fictional characters will now join forces with Mickey, Goofy, Daffy Duck and the rest of the crazy bunch.

There is really no say on what this could potentially do for both companies and even the consumers. It might even take several years to find out.

Last year, when it came time for me to review the Logitech G15, my mind was blown by the awesomeness of it. In my mind, no other keyboard could hold a candle to that beast. After I had tested it and reviewed it, I decided that the G15 was, in fact, the best keyboard I had ever used. Today, almost a year later, the G15 Revision 2 is starting to look a bit aged. Logitech noticed this and took action. Today, I review the G19, Logitech’s newest stage of evolution for the G15.

Apple has announced via email that the September 9th Apple keynote event will in fact be happening and is going to have a “Rock and Roll” theme. The event is going to be at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco and is scheduled to start at 10AM PDT (1PM EST) so come back September 9th for all the details of the event.

The Lost Vikings is a side-scrolling platformer whose style has been matched by very few games over the years. The unique gameplay found in this game is very fresh and adds a strategy element that appeals to even those who do not care for the RTS genre.

It seems that the boys over at Guinness have lowered their standards for world records quite a bit when they introduced this new division of video game world records. Batman: Arkham Asylum has been inducted into the pages of Guinness for being the “most critically acclaimed superhero game ever.”

Honestly? How generic is that? If I don’t game for an entire day, can I get some kind of endurance/will power world record?

Microsoft has announced that their Facebook and Twitter integration for Xbox Live will come only for Xbox Live Gold members. If you’re using the free Silver membership, you’ll be offered a free trial to test the services out, but if you want more, then you’ll have to pay for a Gold membership.

Also, just a reminder, you can upgrade your account to Gold for the weekend, for free!

Some photos and details of Canon’s newest addition to their line of DSLRs have been leaked out for all of us to enjoy and drool over. The Canon 7D will include an 18 MP sensor, dual D4 processors (shoots 8 FPS), an ISO from 100 to 6400 (including a special 12800 mode) and a 3″ LCD. It will also have 100% viewfinder coverage and a built-in digital level.

No official word from Canon yet and nothing has been said about price or availability.

From the trailer, I had seen prior to actually playing the game that Raven Squad was one of those games that was fun to play, but clearly didn’t take itself seriously. Because this fact alone, the game is mostly entertaining, but not necessarily a good game. It’s almost the exact opposite in this case.
