Apple Planning Keynote Speech in September

As everything always is with Apple, there is speculation over a possible keynote speech that is supposedly going to take place on the week of September 7th. Things that may be on the agenda include the Apple Tablet, a revised iPod Touch with a camera, possible iPhone partnership with Verizon (let’s not hold our breath for that one) and iTunes 9.
Rumors about what iTunes 9 will bring to the table include Blu-ray support and social media integration such as Facebook and Twitter. As an added bonus, Steve Jobs is said to be speaking at the keynote. While none of this is stone cold fact, I would say Apple is definitely up to something and we will just have to wait until September to find out what.

Even if the iPhone does break a deal with Verizon…it won’t be the iPhone that you and I love. Verizon refuses to drop the CDMA network like the bad habit that it is. CDMA does not support simultaneous Voice+Data transmissions. Many of you are asking: “why does that matter?”
Fact is, many people (especially those with headsets or bluetooth devices) use this on a daily basis.
Once again, i should remind everyone that verizon is the ONLY, i repeat, ONLY network still using CDMA. Verizon likes to take phones, bend them over and do what they want with them…i highly doubt that the developing would be as free and open as it is with AT&T. Let’s not forget that verizons (although admittedly wider coverage) SLOW 3g network would virtually implode if the iPhone went over. I know there’s a few smart phones that are capable of a crapload of data transmission like the iPhone is, but many don’t have those phones or use them in that way.
Verizon says they’re gonna get the iPhone…I say, B.F.D. It won’t be a legit iPhone after Verizon has their way with it.

well the iPhone is always going to have the development it has right now cuz that is part of the deal they would make with verizon, att has nothing to do with the content on the iPhone such as apps and things, thats all apple. and the only way verizon is going to get the iPhone is if they roll out their LTE 4G network cuz thats part of the exclusivity claus in att’s contract with apple and if they roll out LTE 4G it will kick 3G’s ass. preliminary testing in seattle and boston (which has just had 4G installed) have shown 7-12 MBps download and 3-5MBps upload speeds on 4G. basically verizon is the one bending over backwards to get the iPhone cuz they screwed themselves the first time around and now they see what kind of success it has. Apple has verizon in the palm of their hand right now. lol

that’s all well and good for the people that live in boston..seattle…chicago..simple fact is it’ll be years before indiana sees *ANY* 4g service…so i wouldn’t hold your breath unless you’re plannin on moving to a big city.

well verizon has 4G set to be ready in 30 different parts of the country BY 2010 and that will cover over 100 million people. and since the new 4G technology is using the 700MHz spectrum that used to be used for analog tv broadcast it is able to go much longer distances and go through obstacles thus meaning less towers and faster installation of 4G. and 4G will have the ability to make calls and send data at the same time because 4G is all based on packet switching, which just means it is 100% data.
