Bioshock 2 Pre-Order Bonus

bioshock

A member of 2K games’ forums has announced his great find. At his local GameStop store, he came across some promotional information about a pre-order bonus attached to Bioshock 2. With this pre-order, you are given two special multiplayer models, Blanche The Actress and Zigo The Fisherman. To be honest, I think this is a rather lame pre-order bonus, but I guess it’s better than nothing. Follow the break for some (small) images. Continue Reading »

Batman: Arkham Asylum Delayed for PC

batman

In a typical turn of events that just about anyone could have expected, the PC version of Batman: Arkham Asylum has been delayed until September 15. A bit of good news is that the delay will allow the developers to add support for PhysX. Console versions are still on schedule to release on the original release date of August 25. In case you’ve forgotten, the demo is still expected to release today on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

RadioShack Renamed to “The Shack”

theshack

In an effort to most likely get attention and boost their popularity, RadioShack will officially be changing their name to The Shack and will be holding huge launch parties in both NYC and San Fran. Was this a good move on RadioShack’s The Shack’s part? What made them take the “Radio” out of their name all of a sudden? What do they have against radios? Who knows.

Yesterday when I opened my Steam client, I was greeted with the usual Steam Updates window. Within this window was an interesting and funny looking game by the name of Foreign Legion: Buckets of Blood. After looking at the promo images on Steam, this game had me quite interested, so I risked my $5.24 (currently on sale) and here are my findings.

No matter the reason, Valve has announced an addon campaign for L4D1, “Crash Course”, planned for PC and Xbox 360 release in September. Follow the break for the official press release.

Alan Wake Fans Take Action

alan

As anyone that has been following the details of Alan Wake will know, the game was originally announced as a PC and Xbox 360 title several years ago. It fell off the radar for a few years, with a few details and screens being shown. Most recently, the game has picked up quite a bit of steam and is moving along nicely. Not too long ago, developer Remedy announced that it will launch for Xbox 360 first, with the PC version being delayed and releasing some time afterward. A week later, they announced that the game may not release for PC at all. It seems PC gamers have had enough. A petition has been started to urge action from the creators.

PS3 Slim On the Way?

ps3-slim-leak

Within the last several weeks, many things have been happening with this slimmer PS3 machine. Several images like the one above have been popping up every once in awhile. Even DigiTimes says that Sony has been ordering tons of “key PS3 components” that could make a million units in one quarter (or three months), but I thought the PS3 wasn’t selling very well?

On Amazon, a listing for a PS3 “Konsole Slim” showed up, but that since been taken down. No official announcement from Sony about the PS3 slim has been made, but it’s for sure that we’ll hear one soon enough.
