The first bits of video from an actual production unit of the Canon 7D have appeared on internet and it looks quite awesome. Dan Chung, the filmmaker at the time, used some pretty serious gear to accompany the 7D during his shooting. He used extremely expensive lenses, a specialized video viewfinder, a wide-angle mattebox for lens flare reduction, and an external microphone for audio. View Dan’s 720p goodness and a photo of his setup after the break.

It seems he didn’t provide details on anything other than the camera and the lenses used.
