Still not a fan of the $100 price tag for the Palm Pre at Amazon? Well, now you can grab Palm’s smartphone at Walmart for just $80, but that’s after a contract agreement and a mail-in rebate obviously. Still, not a bad way to spend $80 if you’re looking for a great smartphone.

Dead Rising 2 will officially have multiplayer and the developers have finally decided to grace us with some details. The game will feature “a series of multiplayer challenges for up to four players via online play,” for example, “jumping into giant hamster balls and mowing down the undead; seeing who can place the most drill buckets on zombies’ heads.” Also “taking to the arena on a motorbike with chainsaws for handlebars”. As if I wasn’t excited enough about the game. Dead Rising 2 is still planned for a March 31, 2010 release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Check out the source for some new screenshots too.

News has just released stating the fact that Mac gamers users will be getting a port of Bioshock come October 7th. The worst part? You get to pay a frosty $49.99 when the game releases, while PC gamers will still pay the low price of $19.99. A company by the name of Feral Interactive is handling the port and they seem to have quite a collection of games ports under their proverbial belt.

In a confusing move that had me thinking that they were releasing old news again, Razer has announced an updated version of their award-winning DeathAdder mouse. Replacing the “old” 3.0 Generation sensor is Razer’s new 3.5G technology. What does this mean for the gamers? With the new technology, the DeathAdder’s dpi is improved by nearly double. While the original DeathAdder featured 1800dpi, the new improved model now offers 3500.

Shortly after the Australian rating board announced that Left 4 Dead 2 would be banned from releasing in that country, Valve is now officially appealing this decision in the hopes that they can get permission to release the game in Australia. Originally, the rating board decided that the game deserved an 18+ rating, which Australia does not have and therefore refuses to release any game with the rating. However, according to reports, a minority of the board felt that the game deserved a 15+ rating (Australia’s maximum rating) so perhaps there’s a glimmer of hope.

Less than half a year ago Apple revamped the insides of the beloved iMac to include a faster processor and other upgrades. Today AppleInsider announced info regarding a new, revamped iMac that will include a slimmer unibody construction, which mimics the cinema display and other “previously not available” options will be available. Some of these options might include an LED backlit display and dare we say Blu-ray? Also on the agenda is lower pricing for the new unit and reduced pricing on the old versions. These units have been rolling off the assembly line for a couple of weeks now and are supposed to be available sometime between next week and mid-October.

It seems that the rush of Q4 games continues to get weaker due to endless delays. Today, we have the sad news of Assassin’s Creed 2‘s PC release being delayed into 2010. The news was announced today via Ubisoft’s Twitter feed. While the console versions are still on track for a November release, the PC release of Assassin’s Creed 2 “has moved to the first quarter of 2010. A bit more time for the dev team to deliver the best quality game to you.”
