The keyboard is fine, as is the battery life. Unfortunately, the batteries appear to last longer than the paint on the keys. Within two or three months use, the 'A', 'S.' and 'E' keys are totally blank, and I have a 'Snitt' key instead of a 'Shift' key.

Logitech are an excellent company and replace these keyboards without question. They don't seem to want the original ones back either. I am now on my third K340 in six months.

If this one goes the way of its two predecessors (and I expect it will) I think I will replace it with an illuminated one. Not because I need it, but because I expect that the letters are made of transparent/translucent plastic and extend through the thickness of the key so will not wear off. Hopefully Logitech will allow me the cost of the K340 against this more expensive one.

Its a pity, as otherwise its a really nice keyboard.

@Charles, It's a mystery. If you take a look at comment #3, the K430's dimensions are given there.

Why are the dimensions for this keyboard kept as a secret from potential customers?

I'm glad to have discovered this review as I definitely am shopping for something with legs as I occasionally put the keyboard on top of the laptop, and the weight of it activates the laptop keys, so I need the legs. I work in a bar so there are always drinks dangerously close, so I have cellophane over the laptop to protect it. (I can afford to replace a keyboard but not the whole laptop.) Of course, the cellophane makes it hard to feel the keys so I use another keyboard. Anyway, I want one around 15" wide to fit in my carrying case. Now I'm looking at this one that's the dimensions I seek and is apparently waterproof, as well! http://www.sealshield.com/silversurf.htm

Okay, will give it a go then. Because I really want a smaller keyboard and I love the look and price of this one. But being a frequenteer of quake Live, I cannot live without strafejumping ;)

@hans - I personally use IJKL and I have no problems. I think it may just be the WASD combo that you'll have issues with.

Hi,

is it possible to use ESDF instead of WASD for gaming in that case? Or is it completely impossible to actually use any two letter-keys and the spacebar, or even worse, any 3 keys at once?
