Mini Review: Eufloria

We first saw Eufloria on the Steam store home page and its unique design caught our attention straight off the bat. So, we decided that a game that looks this pretty and this unique deserved looking into. The gameplay is very similar to that of Galcon, you start off with one or two asteroids from which you grow seedlings. You use these seedlings to grow more plants on the asteroid you are on or go explore other asteroids to populate in a sort of mix on the RTS genre.

The graphics are very simplistically pleasing, with everything being rendered in vector for the smoother look. It’s also joined the group of games that have adopted an interactive sound element to the game design. So when anything happens in the game there is a lovely ambient sound ready to go with it, making the battles seem somewhat like a hallucination.

The game has a fantastically unique design and great, well rounded gameplay. The only problem is the completelack of any multiplayer component, which would have made this a great game. Unfortunately, the game is also pretty much the same level repeated in each stage. I highly recommend first grabbing the demo by getting it here.
