Valve Folds, Offers Edited Left 4 Dead 2 to Australian Rating Board

While they are still pushing for Australia to include an 18+ rating, Valve is covering their bases by also submitting an edited version of the game so that they can guarantee a L4D2 Australian release on release day. Does anyone else feel that Valve has just sold themselves out on this one? Sure, it’s great to have your bases covered, but are they really just doing this because they’re tired of pushing for the new rating and they just want the Australian sales? Reports are saying that the final decision on the unedited L4D2 re-rating should be released on Oct. 22, but no news about the new, higher rating.
