Mininova Becoming A Legit Operation

mininova

That’s right, folks. One of the most popular BitTorrent trackers out there is turning their head to copyrighted material and changing to a legal-only operation. No more downloading your favorite TV show. Have no fear though, there are dozens of other trackers that have yet to give in.

blackfriday

After yesterday’s showing on Black Friday, it appears as though Sony’s Playstation 3 may be this year’s holiday king, in comparison with Microsoft’s Xbox 360, which released over 4 years ago. Despite its age, Microsoft continues to do very well with the console, notably through extensive marketing, extensive firmware updates (such as the addition of Facebook, Twitter, Last.fm, and Zune just a few weeks ago), and through big exclusive titles (like the Halo and Gears of War franchises), but they weren’t able to keep their hold on the Black Friday market as they did last year. Sony reports that the PS3 had a 245% sales increase over last year, which is a great hit to Microsoft. So is Sony’s gain on Black Friday a sign of demise in the sales of Microsoft’s Xbox 360?

Modern Warfare 2 PC Hacker Ban Coming

Until all hackers are banned, I'll find a nice corner and..."tactically defend" it.

After a few weeks of the MW2 hacker community building in strength, Robert Bowling has finally put our minds to rest. He assured us that a ban was underway. It’s good to finally know that the PC release still matters to Infinity Ward.

“Top men are on it. In fact, the Steam ban hammer is coming down on about 2,500 confirmed #MW2 cheaters on PC today.”
