AT&T Seals the Deal, Acquires Centennial

at&t-logo

It’s been almost a whole year since AT&T first showed interest to purchase Centennial Wireless and now, $944 million later, the acquisition is official. Centennial stores across the US will now be rebranded by January and Puerto Rico locations will keep the current look until mid-2010. Along with the acquisition, AT&T plans to expand their 3G coverage to more than 100 locations.

We’ll have to see how well the transition goes for Centennial customers. Stay tuned.

Wow, I had never even heard of them before. According to Wikipedia, they’re only in six states.
