There'd better be more airplane missions in future games.

According to an article by the LA Times, Activision has added a third name to Treyarch and Infinity Ward’s world. Does this mean we’ll see three Call of Duty titles every two years? Perhaps this new developer will focus only on mobile or console ports of the games.

“Although Infinity Ward and Treyarch have produced sequels in alternating years since 2005, the publisher now has a third development house working on future versions.”

There are also talks of making the Call of Duty series into an MMO or paid-subscription online game of some manner. Perhaps that will be the new developer’s job? At this point, we can only speculate. We’ll keep you updated as details become known.
