Unlink a Facebook Fan Page from Twitter
By Audrey Gruen on Nov 8th, 2009 at 10:15PM

A couple of months ago I decided to connect my business fan page on Facebook to my Twitter feed, since it would be easy and pain-free to only update one social networking site, while the others were updated automatically.
It turns out that whenever I update my Facebook fan page, it updates Twitter, but adds a link back to Facebook with the exact same thing, thus making the link quite worthless. I decided to just unlink Facebook and Twitter, but for some reason, Facebook makes it hard to do that, so I’m spreading the love of my discovery.
To unlink your Facebook fan page from your Twitter feed:
1. When logged into Facebook, go to http://www.facebook.com/twitter/.
2. Click “Unlink from Twitter”
Simple to do, hard to find!

your a champ, this is exactly what I was after! damn they make it nearly impossible to unlink it dont they!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I’ve been trying to figure out how to do that for weeks! lol

Thanks for this… seems they want to make it impossible to unlink!

Great tip! Would’ve taken forever to find out how to do this via Facebook.

Thank you so much for this. How annoying that Facebook creates the link back to facebook. I want the people who follow on twitter to link directly to the article…you are right useless!! Thanks again…Facebook has possibly the worst navigational design in the history of the internet.

Thank you thank you thank you! This was exactly my problem…Believe my boss will thank you too, since I won’t be billing her for wasted time trying to find out how to do this on my own!

YES!!! saved me hours of frustration thanks so much! incredible.

Cool. Glad to find this.
But my problem is, I want to uncouple my twitter account and my personal status on Facebook. *That* is equally hard to find!
Will keep searching, if I find, will post here.

The feeds from Facebook to Twitter were importing links back to Facebook that would take to you to a page stating that the page was unavaliable! I am going to go back to just updating manually.
Thanks, Bro!

Thanks so much, Facebook help wasn’t helping and it was getting weirdly meta on my fan page. I think you’ve just saved my sanity.

Fantastic! I was banging my head against a wall trying to find a solution to this. Can’t believe it was so easy. I don’t think I ever would have found it on Facebook though. I’d still be looking if it wasn’t for this post. :)

Almost three years have passed since you posted this tip and they still haven’t made it easier. Just used this today, thank you Audrey.
