Seagate Officially Enters SSD Market

We’ve been hearing talk about Seagate entering the SSD market for a while now. Finally, they’ve announced their first line of SSDs, dubbed Pulsar. These drives sadly are targeted for enterprise use, but we should hopefully see some consumer SSDs from Seagate at some point. The Pulsar comes in 50GB, 100GB, and 200GB flavors and has a read and write speed of 240MB/s and 220MB/s, respectively. That’s right on par with some of the best SSDs currently on the market. No word on price or availability, but we should starting seeing them quite soon.
