It seems Activision might just care about PC gamers after all. When all hope was lost, we’ve been lucky enough to get a second title update for Modern Warfare 2 that promises to better the game and remove several very annoying glitches and exploits. The changes are as follows:

  • Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized
  • Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry
  • Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s
  • Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and ‘elevators’
  • Mouse latency tweaks for more mouse movement consistency
  • Fixes to prevent various texture and XP hacks

Mini Review: Zero Gear (PC)

When we first heard of Zero Gear, we were pleasantly surprised. From early previews, it was hard to believe that someone was finally making a Mario Kart-themed racer. It seemed that they captured what made Mario Kart great and managed to bring it to gamers with a fresh look and design. Like Mario Kart, Zero Gear focuses heavily on combat and weapons to win the race. However, it does offer more than just circuit-race gametypes.

Asus seemed to focus on laptops at CES last week, leaving eBook reader fans empty-handed by Asus. We’re now hearing rumors about the company working on a full color eBook reader currently dubbed as the DR-570. According to Times Online in the UK, the device will sport a 6-inch OLED color display, as well as WiFi and 3G capabilities. They are also apparently working on including flash support, along with a whopping 122-hour battery life.

No details on price yet, but with the OLED technology, we can probably expect it not to be budget-friendly by any means. It’s also said that the DR-570 will be shipped later this year.

Because of the recent Google attacks, which apparently were accomplished due to an IE security flaw, the German government is telling all their citizens to say ‘auf wiedersehen’ to IE, specifically to versions 6, 7, and 8.

Microsoft is currently working on a fix and the German government will consider switching back to IE after the fix is initiated.
