According to MSI chairman Joseph Hsu, the company expects to ship approximately 50% more notebooks in 2010, while their all-in-one business PCs will follow suite. They plan to accomplish this by offering a vaster range of notebook models with different specifications instead of focusing on just a few models.

Hsu said that this shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish and even though they took a hit in 2009, sales were still higher that year than 2008.

As I sat here searching for something new to blame my low-scoring Modern Warfare 2 matches on (we can’t all continue to blame lag, or that new mouse), I figured why not blame myself? Now, I know what you’re thinking, and you’re wrong; I’m not admitting anything! You see, rather than actually admitting that someone is better than me, I am merely pointing out the uselessness of a gamer’s mouse-handed ring finger. Seriously, what do you use it for when gaming?

Some confusion has been going round about Blizzard’s policies on hacked accounts on World of Warcraft, namely the new ‘care package’ offer that they have introduced. If a player’s account gets hacked and they lose all their items, normally that player would put in for an account restore. This entails Blizzard going and finding out exactly what was lost and then bringing the character back into a pre-hacking state. This new care package — which is being offered to players as an alternative to getting a full restore — takes a significantly shorter amount of time to execute and helps get the players back into the game faster. Here’s some quick advice: If you don’t want to get your account hacked, then get a Blizzard authenticator or if you own an iPod Touch then download the Blizzard authenticator app. They’re very easy to use and make your account 100% safe.

Toshiba Expands 32nm SSD Lineup

toshiba-ssd

A few months ago, Toshiba unveiled 30GB and 62GB models of 32nm SSDs that used the mini-SATA interface. The company has now announced a 128GB flavor with a max read speed of 130 MB/s and a write speed of 70 MB/s. You might think there’s nothing special about these drives, just another line of SSDs, but the 128GB model is said be one-seventh the size and one-eighth the weight of your normal 2.5-inch SSDs. No details have been given about price , but they are expected to ship Q2 of this year.

battlefield

Although PS3 gamers have been enjoying the Bad Company 2 beta for several weeks now, PC gamers have heard nothing but delays for their chance at the beta. However, DICE has finally announced the official, solid PC beta opening date. Running only from January 28th to February 25th, the beta seems to be somewhat exclusive with the allowed members being those that have preordered the game or gamers that are lucky enough to get a beta key when IGN or GameSpot start their giveaways.

If you’re not lucky enough to get into this beta, fear not. DICE has assured gamers that there will also be a multiplayer demo that will be released to the public before the game’s retail release on March 2nd.

Intel Announces HD Wireless Display

intel-widi

Intel recently announced their Wireless Display technology where you can stream HD video of your choosing wirelessly to your TV. Sounds like a sweet deal to us, but according to the requirements you need either an i3, i5 or i7 Intel processor. Maybe this is just a marketing thing, but we hope it works with any processor or at least any Intel CPU.

The box will cost you $100 and it will be available at Best Buy starting January 17th.
