Acer has been talking the talk recently, but they have yet to walk the walk. The company fell behind in sales by shipping 9.5 million notebooks in Q4 2009. HP, on the other hand, shipped almost 11.4 million notebooks. This widens the gap by 900,000 laptops compared to the previous quarter. HP is planning to ship 44 million notebooks in 2010 and Acer is wanting to focus on ultra-thin notebooks to increase shipments beyond its original 40 million goal to keep up with HP.
