In an announcement that is like music to our ears, it seems Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days will be abandoning Games for Windows Live and joining the ranks of Steam, taking full advantage of Steamworks for DLC, multiplayer, achievements and more. Gamers might remember the first game’s terribly buggy and painful existence, but it seems steps are being taken to ensure Kane and Lynch 2 will be a much more playable and enjoyable game than it’s predecessor.

Google Voice Now Open to the Public

Google Voice has been around for about a year now and it was an invite-only service, so you were screwed unless you knew someone generous enough to let you in on the fun. However, Google announced today that its web-based communication platform is now open to anyone who wants to join. Not sure exactly what Google Voice is? As a part of Jimmy Fallon’s pledge to bring more gaming content to his late night show, Josh Olin (Treyarch’s community manager) announced through Twitter that the newest upcoming Call of Duty game will be featured tonight (the 22nd) on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. There are no details as to who will be presenting the game, nor if we will see any new footage or gameplay, but we’ll be sure to report back once we find out.

We already know about Microsoft’s Fable III coming to the PC this Fall, but according to an internal Q&A document meant for Microsoft spokespeople (a.k.a. “cheat sheet”) that was obtained by Kotaku, Microsoft clearly states that they’re prepping up more fun-filled PC action for the summer:

“Windows 7 is a world-class gaming platform, and you can bet Microsoft has a vested interest in using it as a platform for amazing first party content. “Fable III” on Windows as well as Xbox 360 this holiday is a great first step, and we’ll have more news for you later this summer.”

At Ubisoft’s E3 2010 press conference, they talked a little about Driver: San Francisco, but now we’re getting a first look at the game via a trailer. While it doesn’t include any actual gameplay, it shows us what kind of thrilling action we could expect. Also, according to the last few seconds of the trailer, it looks like whoever pre-orders the Collector’s Editon of Driver: San Francisco will get a “Dodge Challenger figurine and other bonuses.” Watch the trailer after the jump.
