G.Skill Releases Massive 48GB DDR3 RAM Kit

Not to be one left behind in the RAM race, G.Skill has just released details on a colossal 48GB DDR3 RAM kit. This isn’t just your run-in-the-park 48GB RAM kit either. G.Skill says that this is the world’s first and “only hand-picked, hand-tested, ultra-high capacity DDR3 memory kit for workstations.” The kit comes with twelve 4GB sticks clocked at 1900MHz, and features the company’s Ripjaws series heatsink.
Want to hear the sad news? This kit isn’t meant for everyday home users. Plus, it was designed exclusively for EVGA’s Super Record 2 (SR-2) motherboard and will obviously only work on motherboards with twelve memory slots, which are few and far between.
Price is still yet to be known, but the kit is expected to arrive next month.
