The Weekly Olive: 7/19/10 – 7/25/10

The past week’s best news and featured content…

Hulu Plus: An In-Depth Hands On
- Hulu’s new paid subscription service marks a revolutionary step for watching television content online. $10 a month gets you entire seasons of numerous TV shows and the ability to stream them in HD, as well as watch content on your iPhone, iPad, and PS3. However, is it good enough to ditch your current cable/satellite provider and stick solely with Hulu Plus?

It’s Official: We have a CoD4 Server Again!
- Loyal and long-time readers might remember the Call of Duty 4 server we ran in the past. Well, sadly, that server met its demise and we’ve been without a gaming server to call our own for a while now. Today, that changes! The great guys over at GameServers.com hooked us up with an awesome 24-slot public CoD4 server for us and our readers.

New Feature: Flash Game Friday!
- Because we have nothing better to do, the devious minds behind Tech Olive have decided that you gamers simply need more games to play. Because we’re not game creators, the best we can offer is insider advice on which browser-based games you should be wasting your time on. And it’s this idea that we’ve built a new weekly feature around! Check out our first Flash Game Friday piece here!

Windows 7 Turns 1
- Wow, so it’s totally been a year since Windows 7 was officially launched (RTM, that is). We felt like we should recognize such a birthday, since Windows 7 is probably one of Microsoft’s best pieces of software in a long time. So, what’s next for the revolutionary OS? For starters, Service Pack 1 should be arriving sometime early next year, but the public beta is already out and about.
