I think you guys might want to check out my Marathon Mouse M705 review to clear up some stuff you were confused about during the podcast?

“But where does this product stand in Logitech’s current lineup? Well, the VX Revolution was originally made for notebook users and marketed as the little brother to the MX Revolution. The MX Revolution is no more and has since been replaced by the Performance Mouse MX, whose notebook alternative is clearly the Anywhere Mouse MX. After scrutinizing Logitech’s lineup for quite some time, the conclusion I reached was that this is just a more affordable showcase for some of Logitech’s technology such as the battery life and Unifiying receiver. The Darkfield technology, however, would be reserved for the 2 newer MX mice. ”

@Jason – The Performance Mouse MX actually has two notebook alternatives. The Marathon Mouse M705 is the replacement for the VX Revolution and the Anywhere Mouse MX is the replacement for the VX Nano. Yes, we were slightly confused during the podcast, but it’s cleared up now :)

@Craig Lloyd, I’m not talking about physical appearances. I’m talking about Logitech’s lineup standings as I have explained in my paragraph

@Jason – I’m not talking about physical appearances either….You mentioned the notebook alternative to the Performance Mouse MX was the Anywhere Mouse, when really it’s the Marathon Mouse, as well as a the Anywhere Mouse (a smaller version of the Marathon Mouse).

@Craig Lloyd, As you guys said on the podcast, the Performance Mouse MX was announced at the same time as the Anywhere Mouse MX to showcase the Darkfield technology. When the MX Revolution was announced, the VX was its little brother possibly to showcase the hyperscrolling technology. Also as you said on the podcast, the Marathon Mouse is a side product just made to optimize battery life with no sort of special laser or technology whatsoever. Thus, the Anywhere Mouse MX can only be described as the proper little brother to the Performance Mouse MX. When I say notebook alternative to the Performance Mouse MX, it is clear that I am referring to Logitech’s intended product placement due to announcement time and tracking technology.

Haha this might just be a stupid discrepancy but I think it’s kind of interesting to discuss Logitech’s high-end product lineup
