Review: Duty Calls: The Calm Before the (Bullet)Storm
By Tim Hage on Feb 2nd, 2011 at 4:49PM

We’ve all heard the Call of Duty. Millions of us have responded to this Call over the years, but what happens when Duty Calls? That, my friends, is up to you. Whatever you choose, I hope it includes reading this quick review.

Breaking the boundaries of possible, redefining the definition of High Definition, and reinventing the wheel, Duty Calls makes a radical design choice by putting you in the shoes of an unnamed American soldier in (presumably) enemy territory. Your task is to kill anyone carrying an AK-47. Saving the free world is, of course, your secondary objective.

There’s really no reason for you to not download 2011′s Game of the Year. Weighing in at 758MB, the game is far too radical to be priced, sold, marketed, or retailed. As a result, the game’s creators are forced to give it away for free. Just prepare for some force-fed Bulletstorm-advertising footage upon completion of your mission. GO DOWNLOAD IT.
Olive Score: Two patriotic thumbs up.
