Are you sick of seeing Jimmy Wales’ face at the top of every Wikipedia page? Don’t worry because that should subside anytime soon. In an effort to keep Wikipedia free for everyone and free of advertisements, the online encyclopedia began a fundraiser back in November. 67 days later, over 500,000 individuals donated a total of $16 million, which equates to an average donation of $22 per person. $13.7 million came from online donations, while the rest came from various worldwide Wikipedia chapters.

It’s not enough to say that Facebook was the most visited website of 2010. We’re also curious as to what pirates were searching for in 2010 on torrent sites. Unsurprisingly enough, “inception” was the most searched term on torrent sites during the past year.”Iron man 2″ came in at number 2 and “2010″ in third place. “XXX” and “porn” placed fourth and ninth, respectively. To see the entire top 100 list, hit up the link below.

We’re not really sure what Time Magazine was thinking when they named Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg as their Person of the Year for 2010, but they say it’s because of his work for “connecting more than half a billion people and mapping the social relations among them; for creating a new system of exchanging information; and for changing how we all live our lives.” Thing is, he accomplished that a whole six years ago when Zuckerberg created Facebook. This year, he didn’t really do a lot besides watch the numbers increase. Way to be late to the party, Time Magazine. Then again, a movie was made in his honor, which was insanely good. That might have had something to do with it.

Anyone else think that the headshot of Zuckerberg on the cover looks a little creepy?

We had a feeling YouTube would do this eventually, seeing that they kept increasing the maximum video length over the last several months. They have now completely gotten rid of a maximum video length, which means you can now upload that 45-minute long video of your mom singing different renditions of ‘When the Saints Go Marching In.’ However, this only applies to YouTubers who have been good boys/girls.

“…we’ll begin allowing selected users with a history of complying with the YouTube Community Guidelines and our copyright rules to upload videos that are longer than 15 minutes.”

As of now, there’s really no quick way to see if the limit as been lifted for you except to upload a video longer than 15 minutes and just see if it applies the limit or not.
