Children everywhere have come to know and love blue raspberry as a flavor, but what do we actually know about this flavor? Blue raspberry is the Santa Claus of the candy industry; rooted in fact, but completely fictional for all intents and purposes, except to make the candy makers more money.

Alright, I couldn’t actually eat Halloween (not for lack of effort) because it’s not an edible substance on its own, but it does go hand-in-hand with complete strangers giving you free candy all night. On a side note: my mother told me not to go hand-in-hand with strangers, even if they offer me candy, so Halloween is a very fine line that we must walk.

As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of Life Savers Gummies, I feel compelled to break down these mysterious and infinitely circular oddities of the candy world. Why exactly would these be considered odd? Since their creation in 1935, the 5-flavor pack of fruity (in reference to the candy’s taste; not a critique on its sexuality) Life Savers were only available as a hard candy. However, sometime within the last 4 years, this formula evolved and the Gummies variation was born.

You guys know what Goldfish are, right? They’re the overly popular cracker of choice for most folks. I used to eat them regularly until I met another, but similar type of cracker. Now, I refuse to eat Goldfish simply because they have a stale taste and no substance to them.
