F.E.A.R. 3 Delayed Into May 2011

In what is probably the first game delay of the new year, Warner Bros. sent out word that F.E.A.R. 3 will be missing its March 22nd, 2011 release date, and will be pushed back into obscurity with only a “May 2011″ release window. Perhaps this will give the developer enough time to make trailers that feature more actual game footage, rather than cheesy full-motion actors doing the work.

Publisher Warner Bros. has confirmed that the new release date for F.E.A.R. 3 is now March 22nd, 2011 in the US. It will be arriving on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. Warner Bros. also mentioned that a few retailers will offer pre-order bonuses for the game. Amazon will give pre-orderers a 12-page F.E.A.R. 3 prequel comic book. Best Buy will offer an exclusive in-game weapon (The Shredder), and GameStop customers will also get an exclusive weapon (The Hammer).

F.E.A.R. 3 Second Trailer Hits

After the release of the first F3AR trailer, I was hoping that this second installment would move away from the distracting use of FMV and give us some solid gameplay. Well, it seems we have to suffer through more. While there is a solid amount of gameplay to be seen in the trailer, it’s far less than one would hope and you still have to sit through the cheesy dialogue and FMV just to get a few glimpses at the game. Anyway, now that you’ve completely lost interest in actually watching the trailer, you can check it out after the break.

F.E.A.R. 3 Trailer and Details Released

With this new trailer (which has only a tiny amount of actual game footage) comes news that Monolith will be working with Day 1 Studios (the guys responsible for the console port of F.E.A.R.) to deliver the next installment of the series, along with horror film director John Carpenter and comic book writer Steve Niles consulting on the project.

F.E.A.R. 3 will have a large focus on co-op play with the playable characters being Point Man and Paxton Fettel, each with their own unique style of combat. Currently, there are no details on when to expect the game’s release. Join us after the break for the tasty (and perhaps a bit disturbing) trailer footage.

F.E.A.R. 3 Announced, Titled “F3AR”

A Spanish gaming magazine is getting the exclusive breaking story of  F3AR (worst title ever) in their issue next month. Unfortunately, that’s all the details that are to be had currently. As it stands, all we have is the (possible) cover art until next month when hopefully the issue will yield some solid information.

F.E.A.R. 2 Demo, First Impressions

logo

As if getting through the first installment of F.E.A.R. was frightening enough, I managed to slide through the demo of the second quest that is F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. Sadly, in the demo, I did not meet up with my team at all, except for running into one of the team members who was obviously possessed. In the first F.E.A.R., meeting up with the team was a sigh of relief, and once again assured me that I wasn’t alone. They kept me from changing pants every now and then.

Project Origin Demo Released

pic5
After plenty of waiting as PS3 Qore subscribers were rubbing it in our faces, PC games can finally enjoy the small taste of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. The demo is now downloadable HERE for PC gamers, and availible through Xbox Live  for the Xbox gamers, of course. Here’s where it gets good, PS3 users (non-Qore subscribers) will not be getting the demo until the next Playstation Network update is released. I say what comes around goes around.

FEAR 2 Available to PS3 Owners Now!

fearalma_2

With today’s release of Qore Episode 8, packaged along side the new episode, for all Qore subscribers, is the first chance to get your hands on the new demo for FEAR 2. No news on the PC release, or when this demo will become available for all PS3 users, but I think it’s safe to assume that the day it is available to non-subscribers of Qore, is the day it will also release for PC.
