It’s no secret that in-game achievements are used as a dirty, but shockingly effective method of making a game last longer, simply because you’re spending all that time working to get three headshots with one bullet while you’re falling through a tear in the time-space continuum as Doc Brown says “Great Scott!” to unlock that one last achievement. It seems this exploit on the human race’s desire to achieve can be taken a step further. Why not make an entire game about unlocking achievements? And, since that went over so well, why not make a second game? Crazy, right?

Portal. It’s no secret that this game holds a special place in the hearts of Tech Olive.
